Well we have 9 acres so they dont really need to go for "Walkies".. But i have taken them for walks around the paddocks on the leads so they get used to the smells and sheep around LOL

I've done this about 3 times in the last week..

I would love to take my dog out walking. Im worried being so little we might encounter a stray who doesnt take a liking to him. Sucks!

Yeah thats why I hardly take mine for a walk. I always encounter dogs roaming and running up to me. Sick of having to pick my dogs up all the time. You hear of so many attacks and I wont risk it.

I take Coco out at least once a day, she nags and whines if I dont. Thankfully she only needs a 20 minute walk and she is tired and ready to head back home. She likes to sniff all the dog wee wees along the way, it makes her day. Shocked

I do aim for once a day, but I'm guessing it's closer to 4 out of 7 days Sad
This is mainly because I have a part time job walking other ppls dogs!

He does get either a offlead hike / swim on the weekend depends what the weather is like.

We walk once a day about 1/2 hr, we also often take them out, as in, the park, bush walks, beach, fun things, they love it we do too. They usually end up totally exhausted on those days.

Walk the dog

Post by Suzee on Wed Apr 09, 2008 1:22 am

At least once a day, but twice a day most days. I am glad it has cooled down now so that I can walk them at more sociable hours! It seems like forever that I have been walking them at 5 am and 10pm.. I know it has only been 3 or 4 months just feels like forever that the bitumen has been TOO HOT to walk them on and there are far to many burs and thorns on the nature strips even now. We do have a designated off lead area but as my Maremma has found 2 snakes there this summer I only walk there in day light now Very Happy.

Siv, when you walk “a few” of yours how many is a few?

We live on a property so the dogs exercise themselve but occasionally we will take them for a walk along the river just for a change of scenery
